Scope and policy

 

The journal, published biannually, receives original works referring to a central theme proposed by its academic leaders and bibliographic reviews of recent texts.

Shipping Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify that their submission meets all of the elements shown below. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors.

  • The submission has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • Articles should be 4,000 to 6,500 words, including footnotes. They must be submitted in Word or Libre Office format.

  • Authors must send a shortened CV and their contact details

  • A summary (in Spanish and English) of a maximum of 200 words and five key words (in Spanish and English) must be included. The line spacing required is 1.5; The font size of the text body is 12 Arial font. The title of the work must be in capital letters, without underlining and in bold on the left margin. If the article has subtitles, they must be highlighted in bold, without capital letters and located on the left margin. Words in another language or that wish to be highlighted in the body of the article should be in italics (not bold or underlined).

  • The text meets the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Guidelines for Authors that can be found in About the journal.

  • If you are submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, you need to ensure that the instructions in Ensuring a blind review ) have been followed.

Guidelines for authors

Rules for submitting works to publish in the magazine ESTUDIOS

1. Estudios magazine is a multidisciplinary publication in Social Sciences and Humanities. Each issue is structured around a topic from these areas, selected for its current importance and academic relevance. Contributions are received that, from multiple angles of analysis and from a critical perspective, address the proposed topic. In addition to articles, bibliographic reviews and critical comments are also accepted, preferably related to the topic of the call.

2.Submitted articles must consist of 4000 to 6500 words, including notes and bibliographical references. Bibliographic comments must be between 1,500 and 3,000 words and reviews a maximum of 500. They must be submitted in Word format (.doc, .docx) through the journal's website and a copy sent to the email address revistaestudioscea@gmail.com

3.Manuscripts must be original and not simultaneously proposed for publication in another journal. At the time of final submission of the work, the author(s) will be required to sign a commitment of originality.

4.The contributions of the Articles section will be evaluated in the first instance by the Editorial Board and once this stage is approved, they will be sent to an external evaluation using the double-blind system, while the manuscripts of the bibliographic sections will be evaluated by the Editorial Board. All accepted works will be subject to a style review.

5.Authors must send a shortened CV and their contact information.

6.A summary of a maximum of 200 words and up to 5 keywords must be included (in Spanish and English).

7.The text must be presented in Arial 12, 1.5 line spacing. The title must be in bold, aligned to the left, without a full stop, without underlining and without sustained capital letters. Arial 10 will be used for footnotes.

8. Citations and bibliographic references must comply with APA standards (sixth edition). Clarifications and documentary references will be made at the bottom of the page.

9. Failure to comply with these presentation standards may result in termination of the work.

Periodically, the magazine includes - as a tribute to an author, commemoration of a historical moment or due to the relevance of the topic covered - articles already published
