The RTyC is part of the Open Access Initiative of Budapest, specifically in the so-called diamond path, which manifests free and equal access to scientific publications, for this reason the journal does not charge for subscriptions, access to content or for the publication of the articles.

The online SciELO version of complete title of the journal, prepared using a methodology developed by FAPESP/BIREME Project of Electronic Journals, and including the complete text of articles, is available for free.
