The Journal of the Argentine Society of Diabetes (SAD) is a peer-reviewed scientific publication, using a double-blind system, published quarterly by SAD (Buenos Aires, Argentina).

Its objective is to communicate research and scientific updates from Argentina and Latin America on Diabetes Mellitus and related branches, to promote debate on problems related to the specialty and to provide the medical population with scientifically verifiable information.

The journal publishes original and unpublished articles on clinical or experimental research, reviews, updates, guidelines, consensus and recommendations, among other aspects related to the health of people with Diabetes.

Aimed at medical specialists in the reference pathology, researchers and teachers, the publication is published in Spanish and English.

The SAD Magazine was created in 1966 and has been published in printed format ever since. As of 2014, it is also published electronically.

The journal reserves the right to accept or not the contributions received, in accordance with its thematic scope and compliance with its editorial standards.

It declares its openness to the participation of authors outside the publishing entity. At least 60% of the content of the publication is original research in the scientific and academic field.

The Journal has no article processing charges (APC) or article submission charges.

The opinions expressed by the authors of the articles are their sole responsibility.

The SAD Magazine is a peer-reviewed scientific publication, with a quarterly frequency.
Its scientific editions are published in the following periods of each year: January-April, May-August and September-December. It is published in the last month of each period.
During the year, supplements or special editions are also published.
The call for articles is open permanently.

The Journal has no article processing charges (APC) or article submission charges. The SAD Magazine does not charge fees for sending works, nor fees for the publication of its articles.

This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archive among participating libraries, allowing those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.
In addition, backup copies of all numbers are made and archived. of the journal privately and are deposited publicly in the Conicet Digital Institutional Repository.
