Basic Information

 

La Trama de la Comunicación is a semiannual publication (January to June and from July to December) edited by the Departamento de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la Facultad de Ciencia Política y RR. II. frome the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina. Its objective is dedicated to the dissemination of theoretical and research production in Communication Sciences, disseminating unpublished texts that are previously selected by the Editorial Board with the intervention of external referees; The content of the magazine is aimed at researchers, teachers, graduate and undergraduate students.

Periodicity – Reception of articles

The magazine is a semiannual publication with two editions a year (No. 1 January to June and No. 2 July to December of each year).

The reception of articles and texts for their weighting, evaluation and subsequent inclusion is open annually from March 1st to November 30th of each year.

The magazine estimates that 8 to 12 months elapse between receipt of the text and possible publication.

La Trama de la Comunicación is an open access, non-profit publication. Based on the Mexico Declaration, the magazine is distributed under a Creative Commons  CC BY-NC-SA Attribution – Non-Commercial – ShareAlike 4.0 International License: “Commercial use of the original work or possible derivative works is not permitted, the distribution of which must be done with a license equal to that governing the original work. This license is not a free license."

La Trama de la Comunicación  authorizes the partial or total reproduction of the texts and graphics as long as the origin is cited. The criteria set forth in the articles are the exclusive responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the Editorial Committee or the Management. The rights to published articles belong to their authors or publishers.

Data availability policy

Research data includes those obtained or used by researchers during the research process, which allow its validation and support new knowledge. They can be physical or digital, raw or analyzed, qualitative or quantitative. Digital data can be found in many formats and can be stored on various media.

To promote the scientific values ​​of replication, verification, reanalysis and reinterpretation, La Trama de la Comunicación requires that data obtained during the research described in the article be published. This requirement is established in the “Nuevos criterios de calidad y pertinencia para la evaluación e incorporación de publicaciones al Núcleo Básico de Revistas Científicas Argentinas” (RESOL-2019-1183-APN-DIR#CONICET) based on Law 26,899. 

The research data of the articles accepted for publication in La Trama de la Comunicación must be deposited , curated and published in the Repositorio de Datos Académicos RDA-UNR. Each data publication has a unique DOI identifier and a corresponding citation. If there are limitations that prevent data sharing, check the Sensitive and Confidential Data Policy.

In order to facilitate the work of curating and publishing research data, the RDA-UNR has documentation and a team of curators who help comply with the requirement described here. You can consult how to start using the repository and request a virtual meeting with specialized curators.

The RDA-UNR complies with international FAIR principles by allowing data to be findable online and to have a permanent location on the web through its DOIs. The repository makes it easy to describe the data so that you understand how it was obtained and can be downloaded. In this way, the data stored in the RDA-UNR can be integrated with other data and exchanged with other systems to optimize its reuse.

Once the data are published, they must be cited in the bibliographic references of the article . Likewise, if data from other sources have been used in the research itself, they must be cited in the references. 

Preservation in digital files

The Communication Plot uses the PKP Preservation Network (PN), which provides free preservation services for any OJS journal that meets the basic criteria.

The authors retain the copyright and grant the magazine the right to the first publication of the work simultaneously under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA Attribution – Non-Commercial – ShareAlike 4.0 International License : which allows sharing the work with the recognition of its initial publication in this magazine. 

Authors retain the right to use the material in future books or publications and to approve or veto republication of their work, as well as any patent or other rights.

Authors are permitted to enter into additional separate contracts for the non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published in this journal (for example: In an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal .

Authors are permitted and encouraged to publish their work online (e.g. in institutional repositories or on their website) after it has been published in the journal. This allows for productive exchanges, as well as increasing the impact and  citation of published works.
