This article examines the problem of labor registration in Argentine agriculture, delving into some of its specificities, beyond the widespread recognition that exists regarding its extension in the country. Although there is sufficient evidence based on quantitative examinations and case studies about the generalized presence of situations of unregistered agricultural employment, there has been no deepening of the particularized analysis of the different groups of workers, and key variables with which it is related this phenomenon. In this sense, this article examines the scope and levels of labor registration according to the personal characteristics of the workers (age, gender), forms of labor contracting, productive activities, salary levels and provinces of residence among the main dimensions. This analysis will be addressed within the framework of the social and economic transformation that Argentine agriculture has undergone in the last 30 years, which is defined as social and productive restructuring in agriculture, and also the effects that this produced on public employment policies and changes in the country's labor legislation in recent decades.
