Abstract

SAPP, Camila. Workers of the Justice of Córdoba during the rise of the cycle of protests: Palace of Justice taken in search of the “Será Justicia”. Trab. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.40, pp.169-188.  Epub Jan 01, 2023. ISSN 1514-6871.

This article reconstructs the occupation of the Palace of Justice on May 1, 1990 by its workers, from a perspective that looks the event within a broader process of social and trade union conflict. To do this, we go back to the experience of defending one of the main demands of the Association of Employees of the Judiciary (AGEPJ) raised from the union normalization of 1983, associated with compliance with the law that regulates their salary regime. Likewise, we identify how a greater participation in the judicial union was conceived during the period. Also, we observe the actions that promoted the public unions at the end of the eighties, inserting the judicial conflict in a cycle of protests (Tarrow, 1997) which was expanded after the enactment of the market laws in the second half of 1989 and which had State workers as one of its main protagonists.

Keywords : State workers; Association of Employees of the Judicial Power (AGEPJ); cycle of protests; courthouse.
