Abstract

PRESTA, Susana R.  and  GIAVEDONI, José. Socio-technical mutations and entrepreneurship-form extension in current capitalism. Rethinking the forms of appropriation and creation of value based on specific cases. Trab. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.40, pp.441-458.  Epub Jan 01, 2023. ISSN 1514-6871.

Within the framework of global capitalism’s socio-productive transformations, the aim of this paper is to account for the emergence of what we have called the entrepreneurial-form that tends to displace, or even juxtapose, the wage-form. The entrepreneurship-form is functionally linked to processes of capital accumulation, through what we call indirect surplus value, which expresses the transfer of the costs of reproduction of the labor force (and, in a broad sense, of reproduction of life) to each productive unit or individual. Thus, this article intends to offer some theoretical considerations on the forms of governing the labor force in today's capitalism. Methodologically, the article is anchored in a series of theoretical insights derived from the results of previous and current fieldwork (socio-community enterprises and cooperatives located in the Argentine provinces of Córdoba, Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires), articulated with the analysis of documents from international organizations, as well as from the Austrian School (one of the main schools of neoliberalism).

Keywords : Socio-technical mutations; capitalism; neoliberalism; entrepreneurial-form; indirect surplus value.
