Abstract
CASTRO, A.C; GOLIK, S.I and SIMON, M.R. Efecto de la mancha de la hoja sobre la duración del área foliar verde, dinámica del n, rendimiento y calidad de trigo. FAVE. Secc. Cienc. agrar. [online]. 2015, vol.14, n.2. ISSN 1666-7719.
Septoria Leaf Blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola (Fuckel) J. Schröt, in Cohn, (anamorfo Zymoseptoria tritici) reduce the grain yield and quality in wheat crops. The aim was to analyze the green leaf area duration, N (nitrogen) accumulation and remobilization on grain and quality in wheat cultivars under three different concentrations of M. graminicola. The experimental design was a split-plot design with three replications. The main plot was the inoculum concentration: without inoculum, low and high spores concentration, and the subplots were seven cultivars. Disease severity, area under disease progress curve, green leaf area duration, remobilization and N uptake, grain protein and gluten content were determined. The highest area under disease progress curve values were found in the inoculated treatments. Green leaf area duration was reduced by inoculum concentration affecting grain yield and their components. Septoria Leaf Blotch reduced N remobilization, whereas post anthesis N uptake was less affected producing lower N grain content. Despite this, protein and gluten grain content increased by a concentration effect due to a decrease in grain yield in the diseased treatments
