Abstract

BAGGIOLINI, Luis. Fragmentos de una semiosis infinita: epistemología e historia de una semiótica futura. Trama comun. [online]. 2019, vol.23, n.2, pp.63-72. ISSN 1668-5628.

In this article on the work of Eliseo Verón we propose to cut two aspects that, we believe, are central to The Social Semiosis, 2 (SS2). On the one hand, the constant search for theoretical foundations that underpin his Peircean perspective of semiosis that, in some cases, they are a continuity of what has been developed in The Social Semiosis in other authors that allow us to deepen in a cognitive and neo-Darwinian semiotic. On the other hand, the consolidation of a long-term journey that understands mediatization as the history of semiosis. This historical perspective is the nucleus of meaning of SS2 that allows us to understand how mediatization processes work, not only from a conceptual point of view but, fundamentally, analytical and historical. Thus, the SS2 is the closure, and the deepening of, a theory about semiosis and, at the same time, an opening to a postthumanist semiotic.

Keywords : Semiosis; Mediatization; Epistemology; Semiotic; Neo-Darwinism.
