Abstract

ROYO, Amelia M.. The textualization of Camila O'gorman in Juana m. Gorriti's writing. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2001, n.16, pp.159-167. ISSN 1668-8104.

The analysis of Camila O'Gorman, text by Juana M. Gorriti in her book Panoramas de la vida (1876), as a historical account supports an ideological interpretation of the author's idea of nation. The analysis of the structure of a tragic episode attributed to Rosas' tyranny shows that the political debate of that period is present in the book. Through the teory of the imaginario, it is observed that the narrative strategies that characterize her writing legitimizes explicitly how a woman should be, but her feminine characters are similar to those proscribed for the genre by the IIlustration and Liberalism.
