Abstract

SOSA, Marcela Beatriz. Repetition and difference in las trampas del azar by Antonio Buero vallejo. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2001, n.16, pp.179-186. ISSN 1668-8104.

The work about Antonio Buero Vallejo's dramatic production (Project N0593 - CIUNSa) has corroborated the presence of some recurrent isotopic lines: fate, truth, man's responsibility on his acts, physical defects as essential limitations, tension between active characters and passive characters... The appearance of the last known text of the dramatist, Las trampas del azar, seems a return to the realistic esthetic that he left since his first text, Historia de una escalera. There's a chronological link joining the crossed history of two generations in both texts. We'll try to make a semiotic lecture to show the meaning of the generational isotopic repetition in Las trampas del azar, as well as its relationship with the notions of fate and casualty. Simultaneously, we'll investigate the connections of these terms with the significant universe of Buero Vallejo's dramatic production, to know if they modify or not the 'construction' tragedy previously developed by the author.
