Abstract

COUSILLAS RODRIGUEZ, Manuel. Galician popular literature. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2001, n.17, pp.117-123. ISSN 1668-8104.

In this paper I relate a set of practices in discourses around the popular galician literary tradition, showing the feeling and the present literary life of the galician people, still existing at the end of our millennium. I tackle it from a Semiotic approach throughout a diachronic and synchronic perspective (static and dynamic elements). In these legendary echoes that still rumble, even nowadays, in orientational metaphors, customs and genders, I have rescued traditions that tie our past with our present. I also analyze the connection culture nature where man is the connecting thread through personified nature, as if it were endowed with sensitivity and feeling, behaving as a live powerful being that protects or torments man, hence its mutual relation.
