Abstract

MONTORO, Virginia. Concepciones de estudiantes de profesorado acerca del aprendizaje de la demostración. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2007, vol.2, n.1, pp.101-121. ISSN 1850-6666.

The present article is part of the research project named "geometrical proof in the formation of teachers" that has the general aim of studying the learning process of demonstration in geometry in students that study to become teachers. In particular, we study the students' conceptions of proofs. In this article, we report the analysis of interviews made to the students to find hints about their conceptions and the possible relationships between these ideas and proofs that students make when they deal with a proof problem. We mainly found the following three ideas: you can learn a how to demonstrate theory, you learn to demonstrate by making proofs and you learn to demonstrate by understanding well presented proof; related respectively with students that produce naive proofs, generic-crucial example proofs and formal proofs.
