Abstract

The french research area of the Professional Didactics (DP), originated in French territory at the end of the 90s, constitutes an area of confluence and contribution of three independent and investigative branches of research. Professional Didactics is a natural systematic perspective for the extension of Piagetian thinking, with an emphasis on adult learning, given the demands of professional activities and problem solving, overcoming obstacles and tasks in the field of work. Thus, the present work presents some of its assumptions and main notions and, at the end, seeks to indicate repercussions for the activity of the mathematics teacher and the teaching in Brazil.
