Abstract

SANCHEZ, Sandra Inés. The building of a religious thematic park as an analogous city. Avá [online]. 2012, n.20, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-1694.

Holy Land is a theme park dedicated to religiousness. It is situated in the city of Buenos Aires, in a land opposite the river, in a wide zone that got into litigation with the municipal government during the presidency of Fernando de la Rúa, stimulated by a policy of eviction of the commercial gastronomic activities installed there for decades, in order to incorporate this wide coastal zone as a green space designed for recreation and leisure activities. The work consists of the analysis of the enterprise, urban formalization, theatrical performances, graphical and audio-visual material, in order to realize the incidence of the processes of formal construction, its meanings and symbolizations.

Keywords : Religious theme park; Space; Meanings; Symbolizations.
