This paper presents a proposal for decolonizing academic research by favoring community-based forms of expression as a means of co-constructing and sharing knowledge in, with, and from within indigenous communities. The present proposal is designed for researchers who are members of indigenous communities. Additionally, it is intended to overcome certain extractive practices associated with academic research.
