In the field of Social Sciences is often mentioned the need of control of overcoming bias and factual and ethical constraints in the implementation of diagnosis, monitoring and evaluation processes of public policies. The purpose of this paper is to offer a review of the various alternatives of triangulation (cross examination of methods, approaches, techniques, researchers, data, etc.) applied to the management to improving program management and institutions. The paper starts by defining the concepts of evaluation and triangulation, and their relationship. and then offering an analysis of recent program evaluation experiences in the field of social policy management and education. Finally, we reflect about the advantages, difficulties and challenges this methodology supports improving publics policies management.
