Abstract

ARGANARAZ, Eugenia. “Writing is erotic. It is the stroke that triggers desire”: An interview with Tununa Mercado. Anclajes [online]. 2018, vol.22, n.2, pp.115-127. ISSN 1851-4669.  http://dx.doi.org/10.19137/anclajes-2018-2228.

Argentine writer Tununa Mercado (Córdoba, 1939-) responds to several questions that explore new angles on contemporary literary criticism, especially regarding gender and feminism. In this interview, she refers to her writing process, her exiles, her militancy, and to various fields she has worked in, including journalism and translation. She also comments on the link between memory and writing, the teaching profession, politics, the autobiography, and the complexity of what is written and what is lived experience.

Keywords : Tununa Mercado; 20th century; Argentine literature; Exile; Feminism.
