Abstract

GUTIERREZ, Daniel Gustavo.Mándote que lo digas’: discursive warps in Berceo's Miracle III. Scripta Mediaevalia [online]. 2024, vol.17, n.1, pp.33-48.  Epub June 10, 2024. ISSN 1851-8753.  http://dx.doi.org/10.48162/rev.35.035.

Focused on the third Miracle of Berceo’s Milagros de Nuestra Señora, the present work intends to investigate the way in which the ontological condition determines the discursive and epistemic status of the enunciative instances within the poem, as well as the way in which Berceo it articulates or on the contrary the distance deepening the hiatus between both. The analysis of the Marian text will fall on the discursive representation of the human and divine sources of the enunciation and on its constitutive dialectic, in order to account not only for the discourse/praxis relationship as it appears configured in the text, but also for the eventual yield that this entails in the logic of the miraculous Marian intervention.

Keywords : Berceo; third Miracle; discursive ontology; Marian intervention.
