Abstract

At present, we have a moderately consensual account of the history of academic philosophy in Argentina according to which a beginningis made, in the twenties, marked by a certain theoretical line and the leading role of some professors. However, this account leaves out other expressions of the time that bet on different conceptual options. Taking as a reference the Revista de Filosofía. Cultura, ciencias, educación, which is usually not considered by those stories, we explore the interior of the academy, trying to cross both elements. This overlapping allows us to see, on the one hand, that the journal (authors, themes, referents) is not as far from the academy as is usually thought; secondly, that it is difficult, or at least debatable, from this reading perspective, to establish a theoretical line of cut that allows to point out a beginning for philosophy in the country and, finally, that it is unavoidable to a historical look to introduce a reading that gives rise to the political-institutional aspects.
