The objective of this paper is to describe and analyze the use of case study methods and comparative studies that may contribute to the level of depth of the investigation within the methodological strategy in the environmental legal field, and because it is also favorable. apply other tools or approaches from the field of public policy and Social Sciences. In the present work, the multi-method strategy was used through the implementation of documentary and comparative descriptive analysis of a selection of scientific publications. Throughout this work, it has been possible to describe various aspects of the methodological strategies of case studies and comparative studies that may be applied in the area of Environmental Law and improve the level of scientific quality by using and/or adapting some tools from of the Social Sciences.
