This article examines recent Argentine emigration to and from Spain. It describes motivations and experiences of migration and return migration, reintegration processes and re-emigration expectations. Data show multiple reasons for both emigrating and returning that go beyond those related to labor and economic factors. Testimonies of 253 returnees indicate how alterable migratory projects are, as well as the significant gaps there are between emigration desires and concrete possibilities to emigrate. Finally, the article discusses the recent rebound in Argentine emigration to Spain.
