In Permanente obra negra (2019) Vivian Abenshushan constructs an entropic device that stands as a resistance not only to the traditional form of the book, but also to the conventions about its circulation and reading. The work constitutes a practice around the archive that allows her to denounce the precariousness of intellectual work in a capitalist system of exploitation while encouraging communalist and de-appropriative writing practices. The file-archive accounts for the tensions surrounding the notions of authorship, novel and originality in the productions of the present through the use of quotation, rewriting, plagiarism and montage.
