Abstract

ORO, Ari Pedro. The "spiritual reconquest of Europe" by latin american evangelicals. Soc. relig. [online]. 2013, vol.23, n.39, pp.100-116. ISSN 1853-7081.

This article focuses on the networks of South American preachers, led by charismatic characters such as Carlos Annacondia, which export themselves not only to the Americas but also to Europe. In the latter case, there is talk about a need to re-evangelize old catholic Europe, which would have spiritually "cooled off". The article analyses how this charismatic entrepreneurialism, now assembled in networks, encourages transnational imaginaries ofspiritual reconquest, and more specifically, the meanings attributed by their members to the "spiritual reconquest" of Europe.

Keywords : Latin America; Evangelicals; Religious Transnationalization; Europe.
