Abstract

BENEDETTO, Sabrina  and  MORASSO, Carla. Multilateralism in the Pandemic Time . Temas debates (En línea) [online]. 2020, n.40, suppl.1, pp.469-475. ISSN 1853-984X.

The responses of multilateral institutions to the COVID-19 pandemic allowed that the voices that highlight the crisis or the end of multilateralism gain strength. To understand what is going on with the multilateralism, we propose to focus on the global power dispute. Analyze the ways in which China and the United States handle their participation in the multilateral scenario in the 21st century, allows us to observe how multilateral institutions have become an arena of competition where the two super powers develop different strategies and the definition of global public goods is at stake.

Keywords : Multilateralism; Order; Pandemic.
