Abstract
VIEDMA, Celeste. “It speaks before, elsewhere”: Notes for a Critique of the Evidences of Meaning Based on the Carlos Matus Case. Temas debates (En línea) [online]. 2021, n.41, pp.13-35. ISSN 1853-984X.
The article aims to produce a theoretical reflection on the ways in which we work with discourses in social sciences, based on a case. In particular, it seeks to present elements from the French school of discourse analysis: the contributions of Michel Pêcheux on the Althusserian reading of psychoanalysis and Foucault's theoretical work, in which the concept of interdiscourse and the notion of constitutive heterogeneity of discourse developed by Jacqueline Authier-Revuz will gain special relevance. The hypothesis is that this theory is very productive in order to discuss two evidences that operate as epistemological obstacles when producing knowledge in our disciplines: the "author" as a source of discourse sense and the so-called "context" as the spatial-temporary coordinates of its formulation. It analyzes the ways in which both evidences operate in the study of a particular case: the contemporary readings about the writings of the Chilean economist Carlos Matus. For this, a preliminary corpus is formed which demonstrates regularities that can hardly be noticed from a perspective that reproduces the two evidences mentioned.
