Abstract

PEROTTI, Sofía. From Individual Experience to Public Issue. A Review of Tourism in the Agendas of Democracy. Temas debates (En línea) [online]. 2023, n.45, suppl.1, pp.147-151. ISSN 1853-984X.

Throughout these forty years of uninterrupted democracy in Argentina, tourism has been progressively incorporated into the public agenda and into government agendas of various scales. How is tourism included in these complex and dynamic agendas? In what terms is it configured as a public issue? In order to answer these questions, some elements make it possible to reconstruct a genealogy-neither exhaustive nor definitive, but academically and socially relevant-about the incorporation of tourism in the agendas of democracy: the public policy approach, the gender perspective and the commitment to accessibility.

Keywords : tourism; democratic agenda; gender perspective; accessibility.
