Abstract

The study on the reforms to the academic regime of the secondary school has grown in the last decades as a product of the importance that they gained in the design of public policies aimed at guaranteeing the compulsory nature of the level. This article presents the results of an investigation that analyzed the implementation of the New Academic Regime (NRA) in state-run technical schools in the province of Córdoba. The focus is on giving an account of the particularities that this process adopted in two case studies: an industrial technical school and an agricultural technical school; problematizing about its effects on the definitions of the Technical Pedagogical Unit (UTP) as an original proposal of institutional and pedagogical organization for the Basic Cycle of the modality. As a working hypothesis, it is argued that the changes proposed within the framework of said regulatory instrument are more oriented towards making the course regime more flexible than introducing substantial transformations in the pedagogical work on technical and technological knowledge. However, this was relevant to face the challenges of schooling in a pandemic.
