Abstract

ARTESI, Catalina Julia. Productividad del grotesco europeo en el teatro argentino actual. Aportes de Cocinando con Elisa de Lucía Laragione: metáfora siniestra de nuestra realidad. CELEHIS [online]. 2023, n.46, pp.8-8. ISSN 2313-9463.

From a comparative approach, we approach the productivity of the 19th century European grotesque in contemporary Argentine theater. We characterize the historical period between the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, in which the scenic grotesque arose, where the crisis of Positivism triggered the appearance of the avant-garde and the genesis of new poetics. We stop at one of them, the Grand Guignol Theater, which resorted to an exacerbation of the deformed, the macabre and the sinister in its productions. Finally, we observe the incidence of this tendency in the current argentine theater, exemplifying with a piece: Cocinando con Elisa by LucíaLaragione, which, adopting a gender perspective, staged the political violence exerted on the Argentine population by the last civic dictatorship military (1976-1983).

Keywords : European grotesque; Argentine Theater; Dictatorship; Necropolitics; LucíaLaragione.
