Abstract
BORTHAGARAY, Juan Manuel and BOZZOLI, Carlos. Chacras de hidrógeno en la Patagonia Argentina. Pampa [online]. 2012, n.8, pp.235-252. ISSN 2314-0208.
The main aim of this research is to take advantage of the wind/eolic energy of the central plateau of the province of Chubut, Patagonia, Argentina. The development of this resource may allow further progress in several fields. The idea is to create small homesteads to promote population, with settlers that would take care of turbines or windmills which would produce electricity, to feed hydrolysers which would, subsequently, release hydrogen, a potential energy resource that can be either transported or used in situ. The study connects several variables, and also intends to build up a quantification of its feasible worth. The authors are conscious of the setbacks of this idea, considering the current state-of-the- art, but they have trust that a consistent and focused action pursued with alacrity could be successful. Present day technology may be applied to reduce the costs, and may provide new opportunities to use Hydrogen as a clean source of energy, as much as possible.
