Abstract

WENDLING, Thayssa. Hércules contra Hércules: la historia de uno de los momentos más emblemáticos de la guerra de las Malvinas. Relac. int. [online]. 2022, vol.31, n.62, pp.250-261. ISSN 2314-2766.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/23142766e151.

In this article, we will seek to make visible war scenarios typical of the Malvinas conflict, in which an Argentine Hercules transport and logistics aircraft was transformed into a bomber and with which the attack on a super tanker - also called Hercules - was carried out.

Once the attack occurred, the ship would be destined for Brazil, for a prompt intervention in the face of the threat posed by the bombs it was carrying. It was there that, over areas adjacent to Brazil's territorial sea, that the oil tanker finally found its grave.

Keywords : bomber; Hercules; tanker; Brazil; war; Malvinas.
