Abstract

JUAREZ, M.. New records of Sacoila lanceolata (Orchidaceae, Spiranthinae) in central Argentina. Lilloa [online]. 2023, vol.60, n.1, pp.73-82. ISSN 0075-9481.  http://dx.doi.org/doi.org/10.30550/j.lil/2023.60.1/2023.04.14.

Sacoila lanceolata (Orchidaceae, Spiranthinae) is a terrestrial orchid of wide neotropical distribution, with records from northern Mexico and the state of Florida in the USA to Uruguay and central Argentina, without occurrence in the patagonian provinces, Mendoza and La Pampa, and cited for the province of Santa Fe, with specimens collected in the north of this province. The objective of this work is to present the first record of the species for the province of La Pampa and a documented record for the south of Santa Fe. The specimens were photographed and described. This report also contributes to a novel taxon for the valuable La Picasa lake grassland area.

Keywords : Pampean province; South America; terrestrial orchid..
