The call for Student Projects of University Extension, of the Comisión Sectorial de Extensión y Actividades en el Medio de la Universidad de la República, is a policy of promotion of extension and comprehensiveness that has been developed since 2009. Based on the initiative and interests of the students, the formulation and execution of these projects is accompanied by a formative device that seeks that the university teams put into play, in an interdisciplinary way, disciplinary knowledge in a context of concrete practices; incorporate a series of theoretical, methodological and epistemological strategies and tools specific to social intervention, while promoting ethical reflection and critical analysis of social reality. Understanding student extension projects as a central tool for university education, a processual analysis of the experiences developed in its first ten years was carried out, emphasizing some central dimensions in integral processes.
