Abstract

SUAREZ, Guillermo M  and  SCHIAVONE, María M. The genus Pilopogon (Bryophyta, Dicranaceae) in Argentina. Darwiniana [online]. 2009, vol.47, n.2, pp.309-314. ISSN 0011-6793.

The genus Pilopogon is represented by two species in Argentina: P. schilleri and P. guadalupensis. Pilopogon schilleri is known from Río Negro to Tierra del Fuego and P. guadalupensis from Jujuy. The latter is recorded for the first time for Argentina, and a lectotype is designated here. Descriptions, photomicrographs of specific characters, distribution maps and a key to Argentinean species are included.
