Abstract
O’LEARY, Nataly; PERALTA, Paola and MULGURA, María E. El género Glandularia (Verbenaceae) en Chile. Darwiniana, nueva serie [online]. 2013, vol.1, n.2, pp.253-278. ISSN 0011-6793.
A taxonomical and nomenclatural revision of genus Glandularia from Chile is here presented. The genus is represented by 12 species and one variety, eight of these taxa are endemic to Chile. Species are distributed from the most septentrional area of the territory, Arica and Parinacota region, towards Los Lagos region, southwards. However, the highest species diversity is found in the central regions of Coquimbo, Valparaíso and Metropolitana. Each one of the 12 species of Glandularia is here described and illustrated. Furthermore, 14 new synonyms and three new combinations are proposed: Glandularia landbecki, G. multiglandulosa, and G. ribifolia; 15 lectotypes are designated for: Erinus laciniatus, Verbena bella, V. berteroi, V. corymbosa, V. foetida, V. gynobasis, V. gynobasis var. strigosa, V. landbeckii, V. lipozygioides, V. multiglandulosa, V. porrigens, V. ribifolia, V. sulphurea var. fuscorubra, V. sulphurea var. pedunculata, and V. trachea; and one neotype is suggested for Verbena paulseni.
Keywords : Chile; Verbena; Verbenaceae.
