Miguel, L. M.; S. V. Sobrado & E. L. Cabral. Contributions to the Argentinian Flora: lectotypifications, new synonyms and records in Borreria (Rubiaceae). Darwiniana, nueva serie 10(2): 404-416.

As part of the advances in the results of the Flora Argentina Project about the family Rubiaceae, taxonomic and nomenclatural novelties in species of the genus Borreria are presented. Lectotypes are designated for five names: B. advena, B. asclepiadea, B. brachystemonoides, B. dasycephala, and B. staurochlamys. B. quadrifaria is proposed as a new synonym of B. rubrostipulata, and B. advena of B. dasycephala; in addition, a new combination is presented, B. orinocensis. Three species: B. alata, B. cupularis, and B. remota, are cited as new records for the flora, which are illustrated and represented on a distribution map. Finally, an updated key to Borreria species that grows in Argentina is presented.
