Abstract

CASANAS, Hernán E.; ROESLER, Ignacio  and  KLAVINS, Juan. Natural history and distribution of the Chaco Pipit (Anthus chacoensis). Hornero [online]. 2007, vol.22, n.1, pp.59-63. ISSN 0073-3407.

New records of the Chaco Pipit (Anthus chacoensis) are given for Córdoba, Buenos Aires, San Luis, La Pampa, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos provinces. Data gathered during this study show that this species is more widespread than previously thought and suggest that it breeds in the Pampas region of central Argentina, mainly in habitats modified by agriculture.

Keywords : Anthus chacoensis; Argentina; distribution; natural history; records.
