A review on anorexia nervosa among children and adolescents (Part 2) is provided for practicing pediatricians. The required medical evaluation and differential diagnosis to be considered are described. This is followed by information on treatment, prognosis and prevention, concluding with a proposal on the appropriate role for the pediatrician in the management of anorexia nervosa.
