Splenic cysts are rare among all age groups and there are a few reports in the international literature. They may be congenital or acquired according to its origin; and true cysts or pseudocysts according to the nature of its wall. The splenic epidermoid cyst is a true congenital, extremely rare epidermoid cyst that can cause signs and symptoms, or cause complications that require some form of treatment. The purpose of this study was to alert about the existence of this uncommon entity as a cause of recurrent abdominal pain, in order to diagnose and treat it in a proper way.
