This paper analyzes the Complejo Cultural Parque de España (CCPE) as an architectonic icon of the city of Rosario, which is the result of personal and institutional initiatives of the Spanish community established in this city. Since the mid-Seventies up to date, the periodical press, across dissimilar historical-political contexts, the different reports and projects prepared by the CCPE’s organisms and the memories written by some of its protagonists, show a dynamic -although not exempt from conflicts- relationship between Rosario’s Iberian community and the different local and Spanish state departments.
