This paper aims to analyze the growth of the industrial forestry production in relation to the departments of the province of Corrientes, during the period 2008-2018. The article will characterize as well the emerging socio-environmental conflict that took place as a consequence of the productive and socio-ecological transformations generated during the aforementioned period. The analysis of statistical and bibliographic sources allowed us to note that the development and expansion of forestry in the region reveal a process of economic reprimarization and accumulation by dispossession. This is typical of the agribusiness model: it makes progress generating a conflictive interrelation with other traditional ways of producing and inhabiting rural areas. This creates a reconfiguration of land use planning, environmental impacts, and new social asymmetries, based on the displacement of populations, and the development of a "labor market" in highly precarious conditions.
