Practices regarding death and their study constitute a subfield of the studies of ethnic associationism, which has been deepened in recent years. Nevertheless, for a region relatively far away to the large waves of immigration of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, such as the province of Corrientes. It constitutes an area of knowledge vacancy. The present work aims to analyze the actions of the Sociedad Española de Socorros Mutuos of the Capital City of the province of Corrientes, to build a connational pantheon. It was the main activity managed by the entity in its initial stage. The main tensions, conflicts and proposals during the management and realization of the work will be studied, which unlike other examples at the national and provincial level, was carried out in a short period of time. Vital records and minutes of volume I of the meetings of the board of directors and assemblies corresponding to the period 1881-1896 were analyzed.
