Abstract
LAHAM COHEN, Rodrigo and NEYRA, Andrea Vanina. Warmaisa: rastros de la worms judía a través de Burchard. Temas mediev. [online]. 2010, vol.18, pp.95-117. ISSN 0327-5094.
When Burchard became bishop of Worms, there had been Jews present in the town for some decades, and even longer in some other towns of the Rhine region. In his compilation under the title of Decretum, it is possible to find some traces of this presence. The interaction between the Jewish and Christian communities- within an ample spectrum of situations - oscillating between peaceful coexistence and tense exasperation, can be verified by reading the chapter devoted by Burchard to the attempts to regulate the side by side coexistence of the two groups.
