Abstract

MORALES-MARTINEZ, Darwin M et al. Nuevos registros de Natalus tumidirostris (Chiroptera: Natalidae) en Colombia, con notas sobre su variación morfométrica . Mastozool. neotrop. [online]. 2016, vol.23, n.2, pp.557-565. ISSN 0327-9383.

We present three new records for Natalus tumidirostris in Colombia, including the first record from the eastern side of the Andes in the Guiana region in the Serranía de La Macarena, and two new localities from the Caribbean region; one of them represents the first record of Natalus tumidirostris in humid forests for the country. Morphometric analyses show secondary sexual dimorphism, with males bigger than females. Individuals from the eastern side of the Andes are bigger than those from the Caribbean and Andean regions.

Keywords : Andes; Caribbean; Guiana; Geographic variation; Sexual dimorphism.
