They have not gone unnoticed the way and how often the characters in Aristophanes comedy call attention and make comments on clothing and props. This paper focuses on the manipulation of costume and its scenic meaning, and the role of costume in performance and even in the process of writing. In Ancient Comedy, the tragedians compose disguised themselves up.
