Abstract

MURGA MELER, María Luisa. Los jóvenes y sus futuros imaginados. ¿A qué sociedad apelan?. Prax. educ. [online]. 2023, vol.27, n.2, pp.38-54. ISSN 0328-9702.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.19137/praxiseducativa-2023-270204.

Through their establishment, societies create their temporality as an emergence of alterity and difference, which implies their present and future project for society and individuals. However, with the expansion of neoliberal capitalism that undertakes the evacuation of the past, our current time is considered unique and infinite, jeopardizing the future project that society would offer the subjects. From this perspective and based on what young Mexicans propose about the future, the article reflects on the project that contemporary society provides to young people, who, in their creative processes of identity, appeal to the imaginary meanings that the community has to offer them to conform as subjects and articulate their desires in future-to-future projects.

Keywords : youth; future society; imaginary meanings; life projects; formation.
