Abstract

First records of leaf-footed bugs (Heteroptera: Coreoidea: Coreidae) from Argentina. Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent. [online]. 2017, vol.76, n.1-2. ISSN 0373-5680.

The family Coreidae is a diverse group of phytophagous Heteroptera that show a cosmopolitan distribution although they are more diverse in tropical and subtropical areas. The knowledge of the diversity of Argentinean Coreidae is incomplete; in this contribution we report the following nine species from Argentina: Althos distinctus(Signoret), Cnemyrtus scriptus(Burmeister),Himella venosaDallas,Nyttum beckeriDolling & Casini,Ugnius badius (Herrich-Schäffer), Vilga (Echinovilga) dalasi Distant, Vilga (Laevivilga) sanctipauli Dolling, Vilga(Vilgula)obliquaDolling and Zicca pronotataBrailovsky & Cadena.
