Abstract

Streblidae (Diptera) ectoparasites of bats from AICOM Osununú / Teyú Cuaré, San Ignacio, Misiones, and first record of Trichobius furmani in Argentina. Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent. We present the first list of the ectoparasite insects (Diptera: Streblidae) collected on bats of the Phyllostomidae and Molossidae families, from the AICOM (Important area for bats conservation) denominated Osununú / Teyú Cuaré, in the locality of San Ignacio (Misiones province, Argentina). Trichobius furmani Wenzel was registered for the frst time in Argentina, parasitizing Carollia perspicillata L. (Phyllostomidae); this ectoparasite was previously found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, and Peru.
