Abstract

FUENTES LORCA, Lissette. The management of the oil delegate: trust, awareness and identity in and from the workplace. Trab. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.40, pp.270-294.  Epub Jan 01, 2023. ISSN 1514-6871.

The overview presented will address the importance of worker organization, as the workplace provides a suitable environment for the emergence and consolidation of organization at the grassroot level. The practice of which is the least consolidated aspect of syndicalism.

This overview will also consider the impact of grassroots workers' organizations on the material and subjective conditions of reproduction of the labor force. To reach this goal, it is essential to develop two main themes that arise from the oil workers' own reflections. First, a clear statement about not being excessively controlled by bureaucracy and the search for means to provide institutional spaces and delegates with a legitimation that would allow them to create a solid union organization.

The concrete forms and scope of the delegate's work within the plants, the complications of the process, and their achievements are key components that will allow an approach to the process of redistribution of power within the workspace. This becomes interesting in the light of the characteristics of the Argentinian union model.

Keywords : syndicalism; delegate; oil workers; soy.
