Abstract

RODIGOU, Maite; BLANES, Paola  and  DOMINGUEZ, Alejandra. Gender Bounderies and Territories at the National University of Córdoba. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2013, vol.23, n.1. ISSN 1515-9485.

In this work we aim to analyze the so-called occupational segregation by sex in the National University of Cordoba (UNC), Argentina, from the findings of a Quanti-Qualitative research that sought to recover teachers' perspective as workers. We identify parity, male and female territories at the University, where working dynamics that impact differently on teachers' paths and labor conditions, according to gender assignments are developed. We conclude that beyond the incessant incorporation of female teachers and researchers in the occupational structure of the UNC, which tends to return parity in its composition by sex to different academic units, engendered territories persists, showing disadvantageous employment situation for female teachers.

Keywords : Teaching work; university; gender; occupational gender segregation.
